Hello Mark,

Nice to meet you through yesterdays piece on Small Eradication.  We smallpox &quot;warriors&quot; who worked in the &quot;programme&quot; certainly do share a bond and feel proud to have changed the world in such a significant way.  We also know that, as you say, the real heroes are the ordinary local citizens who did a lot of the grunt work right along with us, whether they be Indians, Bengalis, Ethiopians, Somalians or another citizenry.  We &quot;warriors&quot; will never forget that, nor should it be.  Thank you for your article.
